+Plus DescriptionLED Neon-Flex™ Plus is the next generation of patented LED Neon-Flex™ with light output comparable to glass neon. + Plus has been engineered to achieve a lumen efficacy of 36.1Lm/w and 63Lm/Ft. LED Neon-Flex™ for the first time can now be viewed as direct replacement to traditional glass Neon. The increased lumen output is a direct result of using high quality materials, high brightness LEDs coupled with an enhanced PVC mixture used in the main housing extrusion process. This optical gain enhancing PVC increases homogenization of the light effect which translates the maximum amount of lumens consistently delivered to the surface of the Neon-Flex™ Plus. In comparison to white glass neon, the luminous efficacy of white +Plus achieves an equivalent brightness of 36.1Lm/W while using 6.6 times less energy. They LED Neon Flex produces very little heat.. after they have been on for a couple hours it's still hard to feel any warmth from the product. If you need we can setup a sample at room temperature and take a laser reading of each side.
The Flex should have some way to dissipate heat because LEDs are very sensitive to heat. The product itself is designed to be installed in a aluminum channel that helps dissipate heat while working as a mounting solution.

The LED Neon Flex is IP67 rated with and only with the factory sealed ends. With this setup you could use it in a pool with the low voltage fixtures.

Thank you for the question.
Yes all our 24V LED Neon Flex can be dimmed smoothly. We have 1-10V LED Driver dimmer packs along with 24V DMX dimmer packs that work well with the LED Neon Flex. You can also dim the 120V with our 120V DMX Dimmer packs but this would require AC/DC converters built in to the LED Neon Flex power feeds. We have not tested this setup yet because it doesn't meet UL code. But should not be a problem if housed in a NEMA rated enclosure.
